The development is part of wider upgrades within the UK to support new renewable power generation, enabling achievement of Scotland’s net zero ambitions. The project will include a proposed 400kV overhead line, which would run from the proposed Gala North Substation near Lauder in the north to Scotland-England Border in the south.

In this public consultation we are asking local people for their views, to help us develop more detailed plans before we submit a planning application.
