Lynda Ward: We’re here at the K-Park Training Academy in East Kilbride with the Under 12 Girls Teams. A Training Academy like this is a fantastic facility for the community. We’re here to celebrate the award of funding from our Net Zero Fund to K-Parks installation of Solar Panels to increase energy efficiency and drive a cost saving for the facility.

Lee Gibson: Places like this are hugely important, obviously with regards to having the facilities here and being able to save money it allows for places like this to reinvest back into the community. For girls like this coming out tonight at East Kilbride Girls, to just come and enjoy and use the facilities and again, have a safe place.

Mark Wilson: For better facilities, I feel it would make them better players, make them feel part of the community, make them want to turn up That's what we aim for. Yeah, but it’s an inspiration for the  girls to see somebody like Lee who came from East Kilbride, grew up in East Kilbride and has made it to the highest level. Lets them see somebody to aspire to.

Lee Gibson: It’s hugely important from the funding that we received from SP Energy Networks Net Zero Fund that we can reinvest and allow young girls and boys to have use of these facilities, just like here tonight.
