SPEN attaches great importance to the effect our work may have on the environment and local communities. We want to hear what local people think about our plans, to help us develop the project in the best way.
In June 2023 we consulted local people on our initial proposals, and since then we have continued talking to stakeholders and conducting technical and environmental studies.
We have now refined our plans and we are holding a second round of public consultation in March and April 2025 so local people can give us their views. You can do this by completing the online feedback form below , or you can request a paper form by contacting us.
Public Consultation Form
We are holding public exhibitions in Douglas and Crawfordjohn in the first week of March 2025, to seek feedback on our plans. We will then hold further events four weeks later to present final proposals before submitting a planning application. People can submit comments to us throughout this period.
Our first public exhibitions are as follows:
Monday 03 March, 2pm to 7pm
St Brides Centre, Douglas ML11 0PT
Wednesday 05 March, 2pm to 7pm
Crawfordjohn Hall, Crawfordjohn ML12 6SR
We will hold further events to present our detailed plans as follows:
Monday 31 March, 2pm to 7pm
St Brides Centre, Douglas ML11 0PT
Tuesday 01 April, 2pm to 7pm
Crawfordjohn Hall, Crawfordjohn ML12 6SR
At this stage, your comments are not representations to the planning authority. When we submit an application for development consent, you will be able to make formal representations at that stage.
