SP Energy Networks are involved in industry initiatives contributing to the better understanding and management of losses.
ENA Technical Losses Working Group
The ENA Technical Losses Working Group was convened by SP Energy Networks and is currently chaired by Jim McOmish our Head of Distribution Networks.
The Group brings together experts from each DNO plus National Grid to discuss and develop industry thinking on the best way to manage network losses.
The development of smart networks, the low carbon transition and innovative trials taking place are discussed. Collaborative working and sharing of best practice is high on the agenda.
A collaborative piece of work commissioned by the Working Group is the “The Impact of the Low Carbon Transition on Losses”. This work was presented at the 2017 LCNI conference.
The report will be published on the ENA website during Q1 2018.
