Glenmuckloch to Glenglass Reinforcement

SP Energy Networks are required to connect the consented Glenmuckloch Pumped-Storage Hydro and other wind farms in the area to the existing electricity transmission network.

An application for consent was submitted to the Scottish Ministers under section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 (as amended) in January 2023 and was accompanied by the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report. Copies of all documents can be downloaded below.

The Project was granted Consent by Scottish Ministers on 23rd April 2024. A copy of the decision can be found below and on the ECU website (ECU00001998).
