Ewe Hill and Newfield Renewables Connection

We have a licence obligation to provide renewable energy developments with a connection to the electricity network and in line with this is proposing to construct new 132kV OHLs between the proposed Newfield and Ewe Hill wind farms and the existing Gretna substation in Dumfries and Galloway.

Applications for consent for the overhead lines have been submitted to the Scottish Ministers under section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 (as amended) and is accompanied by the Environmental Statement attached below. A statutory consultation is underway and contact details, should you wish to comment on the proposals, can be found in the Non Technical summary attached below.
