SP Energy Networks is proposing an upgrade to the existing overhead transmission line, known as XL route, between the former Kincardine power station (OS Grid Ref NS923885) and the transmission license boundary at Blairingone (OS Grid Ref NS981966)
In addition, a proposed Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) located at the former Kincardine Power Station, 400kV cable route and associated sealing end compounds located at Kilbagie on the A977 are included in the application.
An application for consent for the overhead line and ancillary developments have been submitted to the Scottish Ministers under section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 (as amended) and is accompanied by the Environmental Statement.
