Our public consultation runs from Monday 24 May to Monday 21 June 2021
SPEN attaches great importance to the effect our work may have on the environment and local communities. We want to hear what local people think about our plans, to help us develop the project in the best way.
In particular, we would like people’s views on our preferred overhead line route, and anything you would like us to take into account when planning where the towers (pylons) should go.
The Covid-19 pandemic means that we can’t hold public exhibitions in the usual way, but we are holding a series of online presentations and discussions where local people can find out more and ask detailed questions of our project team.
More information about the project and the consultation process can be found in the project leaflet and the Routeing and Consultation Document.
What we are consulting on
This is our first public consultation on the project. In this consultation, we’d like to know:
- Your views on our preferred route;
- If you have comments about any of the alternative routes we considered;
- If you have any comments about the uprating of the existing overhead line between Denny and Bonnybridge substations; and
- Any other factors you would like us to consider. We would particularly like to hear your views on your local area e.g. areas you use for recreation, local environmental features you would like us to consider, and any plans you may have to build anything along the route.
We will publish a report of the first round of public consultation early next year and give you another chance to comment on the detailed proposal as the project develops.
You can give your views via the form below.
If you would prefer to complete a paper feedback form, we can send you one that you can post to us free of charge.
Alternatively, you can send us an email or call our Freephone number, to request a call back from a member of the project team or to discuss any detailed questions you may have.
