Cablehead replacement

We are SP Energy Networks and we own and operate the electricity network in Central and Southern Scotland, Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Shropshire. No matter who you pay your electricity bill to, we are the people to contact if you have a power cut, need a new or upgraded power connection or spot any issues with our network.

Cablehead asset replacements in your area

As we transition to Net Zero, we need to ensure that our electricity network has sufficient capacity to accommodate any new low carbon technologies such as electric vehicle chargers or heat pumps that customers may wish to connect.

To maintain the reliability and safety of the electricity network, we have launched an upgrade programme to replace a piece of equipment called a ‘cut out’. If you have been contacted by us, or visited by one of our service partners, then our records show that your property may require this equipment to be upgraded.

Our service partner, who will carry out this work, will contact you to survey your property and discuss the inspection and upgrade process with you in more detail. You can also contact them directly to arrange a suitable appointment using their contact details below.
