SP Energy Networks is a lead sponsor of the VIRIDIS Winter Warmth campaign, which is backed by 17 local authorities and housing associations around Liverpool.
Stephen Stewart, SP Energy Networks Director, said: “We have been supporting the Viridis campaign for many years, and are delighted to be lead sponsor. The campaign brings together a wide range of agencies and organisations to offer assistance to those who need it most.
SP Energy Networks is responsible for the electricity network in the Merseyside region, and although power cuts and emergencies are rare, we are on-hand 24/7 to respond to any issues. As part of the campaign we will be encouraging our most vulnerable customers to join our Priority Register, which gives access to additional support and advice in the event of an issue with power supplies.”
Chair of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Cllr Phil Davies, said: “Long- term weather forecasts are indicating a colder-than-average winter approaching. There is so much support out there to help people make their home warmer, lower energy bills, reduce social isolation and stay healthy and I recommend people attend one of our 24 VIRIDIS events to discover more.”
