Following a successful recruitment drive, we welcomed 23 new apprentices into our business earlier this week. The recent additions to the company have started their ongoing training by attending a 3 day induction in Cumbernauld, close to our training facility. Each of the new recruits will work in roles across the networks business including overhead linespeople, cable jointers and fitters.
The apprentices have been recruited from within the communities we serve, and will be given focused training and career development to ensure their success, as we build our technical workforce for the future.
Throughout the week they will attend a full induction that includes: icebreakers and team exercises, an introduction to directors, information sessions about the business, a visit to Whitelee Windfarm and the chance to meet representatives from the colleges they will be attending as part of their apprenticeship.
To finish off the first week of what we hope will be a long and successful career with us, our rising stars of the future will all attend a dinner and quiz night for some light relief and to help instil the strong team ethos we have at SP Energy Networks.
