Metal theft from electricity substations and equipment puts lives at risk and causes substantial damage to the electricity network
Thefts from live electrical equipment put the general public at risk of serious injuries or worse. What is not readily appreciated however is the damage power surges cause to household appliances. Every theft or act of vandalism can damage equipment and disrupt voltages, which can potentially lead to damaged household appliances and may even cause fires.
We're keen to see this kind of behaviour stopped and were therefore delighted to sponsor the annual Metal Theft Summit recently in Cambuslang. This event brings together partners from various industries and attracts over 100 delegates from businesses and organisations which all have a keen interest in preventing Metal Theft.
