Our colleagues across the business have raised over £5,000 for Radio City’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal and donated hundreds of presents to Helping Hands so children had a gift to open on Christmas morning.
Our generous staff members worked with Edinburgh-based organisation Helping Hands to donate the gifts to vulnerable people and their families across the capital. However, some of our colleagues were unable to bring gifts to the office due to COVID-19 restrictions, so instead they set up a donations page for Radio City’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal to raise funds which are needed more than ever.
COVID-19 has adversely affected household incomes across the country but the generous donations have helped to spread some much-needed festive cheer.
Laura Charlton, Charity Manager at Radio City Cash for Kids, said: “SP Energy Networks have been a lifeline for this campaign, their generous donations enabled us to respond quickly to the needs of local families this year and make sure nobody who applied wakes up on Christmas morning without a toy or gift, we are so grateful for their partnership and support and couldn’t have delivered such a successful campaign without them. Thank you to everyone at SP Energy Networks who has got involved”.
Thanks to Radio City’s Mission Christmas Appeal and incredibly generous donations from listeners and locals, over 23,000 disadvantaged children will be able to wake to presents on Christmas Day.
